In case that you are already an avid gym goer, chances are, you have already managed to gain significant mass and strength. Well, then it is time for you to start cutting. See, any experienced bodybuilder will tell you that there are two main phases for every gym goer, who wishes to reach the ultimate results. We are talking about bulking when you are gaining mass – both muscles and fat and cutting – when you are purposefully losing all the unnecessary fat and are making your body look and feel rejuvenated – cut so to say.
If you are an experienced gym goer, odds are, you already know that over time you are going to be literally fighting for every single gram of muscle mass. And eventually, one way or the other, you will need to consider getting support from anabolic steroids if you will want to get bigger and work with bigger weights.
Avid gym goers that have ample experience with training, diet and the overall gym related routine, are well-aware of the fact that there is a time for bulking and then there is a time for cutting. It is actually a never-ending cycle that will allow you to reach the perfect form. Sure, it does require a lot of efforts on your side, but let us face it – bulking is way more straightforward and cutting does demand focus, discipline and some support from various supplements and even anabolic steroids.
Although we are well used to the fact that anabolic steroids and performance enhancing drugs are often demonized by the media, some organization go even further in their attempts to put an end to steroid usage once and for all.
It is no secret that the media is always very much eager to battle against steroid users, starting genuine crusades against the anabolic drugs and performance enhancing drugs (PEDs). Every now and then we read in the papers, online or see on TV that yet another steroid using athlete was disgraced by WADA or a similar association. Thing is, the media is way too enthusiastic when it comes to demonizing steroids and, at times, their efforts lead to a totally opposite effect.
Thanks to the media’s efforts, anabolic steroids are known to the common public as a dangerous threat to health and wellbeing. Journalists all over the world are well-used to demonizing all sorts of steroids, claiming that these only harm one’s body and nothing more. However, some of the accusations are pure and simply foolish and outrageous. In their need to demonize steroids, various media “experts” publish hundreds of articles and dozens of books with some fake interviews and inaccurate information.
Steroids and various performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) are banned from being used in any professional sporting activities. The modern society actively demonizes steroids usage in sports as well as in day to day living. Various anti-doping associations often release numerous statements declaring that they are prepared for a massive anti-doping campaign, which will finally put a definitive end to the PED usage in sports.
Hollywood movies are known as the most spectacular as well as well-written ones in the entire industry. Hollywood produces the very best special effects, CGI, practical effects, set and sound designs. Of course, the actors, who star in Hollywood blockbusters, must look and sound absolutely perfect and that is why the celebrities do their best to play the part.
Hollywood imposes certain beauty standards and criteria that most people try to follow. However, are the actors in Hollywood blockbusters actually working out for years in order to achieve these results? This is a very interesting question and the answer is somewhat apparent if you start to analyze things closely.
Let us take only a few examples of actors, who changed their looks drastically over the course of several years. First of all, Christian Bale – a talented actor, who is known for a number of great roles, including the famous role of Batman/Bruce Wayne in Christopher Nolan’s epic trilogy. When you see Bale in Batman Begins, he is a very well looking young fellow – a genuinely buffed guy with lots of muscles, who is perfect for the role of fearless street vigilante. However, could you believe that only a year ago Bale looked like a dystrophy sufferer, with bare bones and thin skin? It is true – just watch The Machinist – one of Bale’s most impressive dramatic works, where he looks like a walking and talking skeleton. It took him a single year to get back into shape and to turn into a buffed version of Batman – how crazy is that? This leads to a natural conclusion – the actor was using certain anabolic steroids that helped him gain a whole lot of muscles within a very limited amount of time. No man can turn into Batman after only a year in gym, especially if you came there with nothing but bare bones.
Another great example is Tom Hardy – also well known from his role in the third and final part of the Dark knight trilogy, where he portrayed Bane – the notorious villain, whose main strength lies within his muscles. When you see Tom Hardy on scree, he is a menacing presence, who looks very strong and nearly invincible. However, it took the actor only 9 months to achieve these results and if you will ask any specialist, he will probably tell you that steroids were involved as well.
Hollywood is showing us great special effects, but we do know that some of those effects cannot be achieved with real life physics. Similarly, one cannot look like famous Hollywood actors without resorting to various PEDs and anabolic steroids and that is the certain truth.
Every sporting activity has is very own Hall of Fame for the most talented, skillful and active sportsmen, who have made certain contribution to the discipline in whole. Some people consider that the Hall of Fame is meant solely for the sportsmen, who used their own power and their natural skills to achieve success. However, there are also those, who disagree and claim that steroid users and sportsmen, who use PEDs, should also be allowed to take their rightful place in the Hall of Fame.
The modern society is used to demonizing steroids and PEDs. Largely, those substances are forbidden and if someone is caught using them, huge scandals erupt and literally destroy entire careers. Still, are steroids that bad and dangerous? Are steroid users simple cheaters, who do not know how to win without using various PEDs?
There are controversial opinions on the matter, but one thing is certain – people, who are ready to risk using steroids and PEDs in order to achieve better results, are the most determined in the entire discipline.
You can argue about how steroids can ruin one’s life and how they are considered as cheats, but you cannot argue that sportsmen, who use steroids, are 100% determined to succeed, no matter the cost. Such determination is admirable to say the least. Even though PEDs may put steroids users above other sportsmen in terms of possibilities, you cannot neglect the fact that these guys are prepared to do what it takes to prove the world that they are the best and they can go beyond human limitations without thinking about their health, their wellbeing and the consequences that steroids may induce.
Now, the above-mentioned facts do not imply that steroid users should be praised for dealing with performance enhancing drugs – it just suggests that every man, who is ready to do whatever it takes to achieve results, is worthy of being mentioned as a very determined person. Why not establish a separate Hall of Fame for those, who used steroids effectively and were able to prove how good they are indeed? Lance Armstrong is a very good example of such an approach and this guy surely has to be mentioned in sports books not only as a cheating sportsmen, but also as a cycling professional, who was determined to win, no matter the cost. Simple as that.
Modern society has a very specific point of view when it comes to the usage of anabolic steroids. Most people deem it as something demonic that can easily ruin one’s life, destroy his health and wellbeing.
Of course, anabolic steroids have some pretty disturbing side effects and may have a certain impact on your life. In fact, if you are not careful, you can even turn into yet another victim of the anabolic substances.
